The match vs. The Deep went pretty good last night. The score was 2730 - 274, to our favor ofcourse.
Molle was given full membership
to our clan last night after the match with Clan Deep (in which he was
trialed). His UIN is 448951.

Tex Killer's UIN
Well, it just happens that Tex Killer got his old UIN working afterall, so forget what I said about his new UIN in my last news update and use Tex's old UIN again (5015535).
Tonight we're meeting The Deep,
a new Finnish clan, in a clan match. Intresting to see how well they'll
do. Tomorrow DBD's should be getting their network up again so if get lucky
we might even play the damn ITFL match against them then :)
Other matches next week include
the friendly game against Negative Rage on Tuesday (with small 8 vs 8 teams),
the long awaited Gunslingers match on Thursday and Sissy's late on Saturday
night.
Asked Vallasherra NatesDaBomb and Vallasherra Jone to do some voice-overs to Hartwall Areena 3's first season intro. English version of the intro (by Nate) is available from here and Finnish version (by Jone) from here. Both are in mp3 format, sizing little over 600 k's. If you're not from Finland and not into B5 (or HA3 for that matter!) I doubt you should bother with these :)
And last but not least Vallasherra
Jarilm would like to share his infinite wisdom with you all reading this:

An update!
Haven't had the time to update these
pages for a while as you might've noticed :)
Anyway, here's an update of what
we've been up to lately.
First some matches:
11/06: We won LEG 3893 - 411The IP match went REALLY bad as you might see from the scores.
14/06: We won Sissy's 1111 - 266
24/06: We won IP 738 - 679
We're still on our way to ITFL semi
finals. Only problem is that we can't seem to get into an agreement with
Death Before Disco (our opponent) about the match setup. We'd want to play
one round on each clan's server while DBD's would want to play both rounds
at a "neutral" server. Problem with DBD's "neutral server" is that they
can't seem to find one... (which is no wonder really).
Nevertheless, I think we'll get
to play them in some way or another on next Monday (29/06).
Misc. news'n'stuff:
Cute challenged us last week and we already had some talks about the match, however we still haven't set any date for the match.
Vallasherra Tex "ex-Mex" Killer has new UIN, 14616939.
Oh and in case you're looking for Quakeworld 2.1 client exes you can find them from here:
qwcl-version21.exeIt's been exactly 11 months now since we played our first official Team Fortress clan match (against "Frogmen"). And speaking of old stuff, one year ago we "redeemed ourselves against Atlantis as we won them with an incredible score of 93-0"... pretty neat eh?

And don't forget to check out the Schedule.
There, I guess that's enough for
today :)

Match and a new member
We played a match with Clan IP again. This time the score was 1912 - 560. Good match in overall.
And welcome Vallasherra A-Bomber, our latest addition to our member-roster. His UIN is 3415796.
I've got preliminary date and time for the Iron Curtain match: 20th June 23:00 Finnish local time. It's gonna be THE biggest match in Team Fortress' history :)
Don't forget to check out the changes
in Schedule.

EWOKs smeared and updates
Last night's match against EWOK didn't go too well, score being was 1653 - 742. We would've expected a much better result. But then again, it's the winning that counts, eh? :)
Updated: the schedule, player profiles at Members-page and some stuff at Restricted.
Talks with having a match with Iron Curtain (USA) proceeded nicely last night. The match might actually see daylight some day ...
Oh yeah, our good and dear über-haupf--
err lieutenant, Vallasherra Rascal has a new UIN now (13595344).

Showdown at the Rock with Clan Erinyes
Last night we played our second match in the Showdown at the Rock mini-tournament (which I am now maintaining) was against Clan Erinyes, one of the most famous TF clans in USA. We won the match ofcourse :) with teamscore of 90 to 0 (the game was played for captures only). Frag-score of the game was 1465 - 143. Screenshots and some additional info of the match are available from the tournament's homepage.
Rambling-mode enabled
Sheet... I really should update
that front page as it now looks like it hasn't been updated for several
weeks (which is infact true :)
One year ago... we played our 9th
clan match! Yay! Against some Pooh Clan from Sweden. I can't believe I
played deathmatch happily with 300-400 ms ping then :) And it turns my
stomach to look at those freekin' stats I made for every match back then...
yeepers!

Match with Downfall and "I knew that!"
We had a match with Downfall last night. Disappointingly enough, our opponents didn't do much else than defended and spammed all the time so they game could've been much more exciting. The result was a victory for us ofcourse, 7 - 1 caps (1331-469 frags).
More than a few people have commented to me that the song links to "Six" and "Demoman" in my previous news were reversed. I KNEW THAT!! I just tested if anyone would notice ;)
Just tested TF 2.8.2 on Braveheart's
test server (128.197.61.171:27500). They claim they've toned down the freekin'
annoying new concussion effect, but it was still pretty much the same bullshit
as before. Also, the hwguy is improved a bit (isn't affected by concussions
and isn't thrown around by explosions very easily) but I was too lazy to
test it myself.
In general TF 2.8.2 won't be improving
the overall gameplay a bit (mostly because of the stooopid concussion effexx)
from the previous version...
I also added more of those nifty
player-profiles to the members-page.

Summer's first match and some-- no make that a LOT of misc. ramblings
Match with Clan IP started our summer season. The match went pretty nicely, us capping about 15 times while IP's only managed to steal our flag once - and that was in bases :) Final score was 2416 - 489.
Our good and dear friends over at UKFN's messageboard seem to be somewhat amazed by our webcounter (which currently reads 41000 something):
Posted by PJEDILORD [JL] on May 1, 1998 at 02:07:48 GMT: Anyone notice CVH clan website have had over 41800'' visits?' Thats a lot they started last year its the most i seen for any clan site, Though a top clan haves that amount i see...... EQ haves Over 6000 the most in uk' Vallasherras Vallasherras Vallasherras everywhere heheheheh they entered this board' hoohohohoho jabba laughing''''What can I say :) The counter's been there since the opening of these pages a year back. Dunno why we have so many visits, though, as there's not really that much to see. But then again, there's quite a bit of material at cVH-website that's not very easily found. Like the songs "Six" and "Demoman" or the interviews at Vallasherra fanclub.
We've got a lot of response from the players wanted ad we've posted in a few places. Gotten 20 membership applications just within a few days.
I might just as well print here my opinion about QW2.21 too. It sux0rs. The default server-settings (heavy waterfriction, screwed up gravity etc.) are annoying but not as annoying as the fact that you can't control the jumps nearly as good as on earlier QW2.1. Now I don't give a shit if Regular Quake works that way, because the controls feel like shit in QW2.21. TF 2.8 however ain't that bad. The new sentry-model is kinda weird looking first, but once you get used to it it's great. The improved spy-grenade is neat, but I don't really like those new scout-grens, esp. the altered concussion grenade (which is now way too powerful). Luckily those new gren effects can be turned off. Too bad QW2.21 doesn't offer such option for the fucked up physics...
Been thinking about a few changes
to the looks of these pages but I'm probably too lazy to actually execute
any of 'em :)
